Process Capabilities

Thos C Wild produces seamless rolled rings for the aerospace, power generation, defence, bearing and offshore industries at weights of up to 200 Kilos with a maximum outside diameter of approximately 1 metre. Seamless rolled rings can be produced to give a cylindrical hollow shape or to give a flat washer like shape. Typical materials processed by ring rolling include carbon and alloy steels, nickel alloys, titanium and titanium alloys.

Ring Rolling

Thos C Wild seamless rings are produced by rolling on a vertical ring rolling machine. Prior to rolling, a circular pre-form of metal that has been previously upset and pierced using the open die forging process to form a hollow ring is produced to give structural integrity and directional grain flow.
